ABOUT CHEF CHRISTINA

Chef Christina Galtman was born and raised in the Los Angeles County City of Whittier. Christina grew up sitting with her grandmother as she cooked many Mexican-American classics. The smell of delicious food in the air at all times inspired her to pursue cooking professionally. She is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Pasadena and has since been in the industry for over 20 years. She has a fine dining background and worked at Patina restaurant under Walter Manske and Eric Greenspan (who was also the chef/owner of the Foundry), She was the Sous Chef at several restaurants with Chef Gary Menes including Marche, Palihouse hotel and Michelin Star Restaurant Le Comptoir. Christina is a single mother of 4 children and made a choice to step out of restaurant kitchens to be a more focused mother. Christina's younger son, Hendrix has autism and she advocates strongly for mothers of autistic children. During her break from restaurants she worked as a private Chef and a corporate Chef. As a Chef she takes pride in the techniques that her diverse cooking background has provided her. She loves delicious straightforward food. In 2021, Christina "came out of retirement" and joined the team at Gogo's Tacos as the executive Chef. She works along side the culinary and operations team at Guerrilla Tacos to provide simply delicious street tacos to the masses.
